This is a career graded post and the grade appointed at will be subject to satisfying relevant experience and criteria for the post band, as detailed in the attached Job Description & Person Specification. You will ideally be a qualified planner (MRTPI) or working towards this, with post qualification experience in development management, including within a Local Planning Authority. You should have a good knowledge of the planning system, excellent organisational and time management skills and be a good team player with the ability to negotiate on complex schemes. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, and an appreciation and understanding of urban design principles is needed in this role.
