Salary: £10.19 to £10.39 an hour
17.5 hours per week
Location: County Hall Campus, Spetchley Road, Worcester

The Role

Worcestershire Children’s First is a vibrant and innovative place to work, as one of our worker’s says, ‘I feel supported and valued and everyone is so helpful’.  No two days are the same and the work you do makes a difference to the lives of children in Worcestershire.
We would like to appoint a well-motivated person to be part of a busy team providing support services to Children's Social Care. The Homeless Intervention Team is responsible for working across the county, assessing and supporting homeless 16/17 year olds but are also part of the wider Care Leavers’ Team. This role is for 17.5 hours per week but the pattern of these hours can be discussed at interview.
A key area of work involved in this role is using the Mercury E5 Finance system, where you would be expected to raise purchase orders, invoices and make payments via the Prepaid portal to young people and families.  Therefore, an interest or knowledge of financial processes would be advantageous.
Gathering feedback from young people and their parents is vital, so you’ll need to be confident in speaking to children, families and other agencies. Equally important is supporting the team with general administrative tasks such as taking minutes, sending out plans and assessments and arranging transport.
You’ll be updating and maintaining one of our case management systems and of course, you’ll get all the training you need for this as well as being able to access all our other free learning.

As well as the above salary we can also offer the below benefits:
•    Pro rata 25 days’ leave plus bank holidays (potential to match up to 30 days)
•    Green Car Scheme
•    Bike Scheme
•    Career average pension scheme
•    Relocation package up to £10,000 (subject to T&Cs)
•    Access to a range of leisure, fashion, travel and lifestyle discounts
