Codsall Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint a highly effective Site Technician with Handyperson skills to join our team.  This is a wonderful opportunity to work with forward-thinking staff and be part of a passionate enthusiastic team. We are looking for a committed, experienced and enthusiastic Site Technician with practical handyperson skills, excellent health and safety knowledge and skills who can provide their expertise in our schools. In return, we can offer a supportive working environment where all staff are valued.

 

The primary school base will be St Nicholas CE (VC) First School.  As part of the role there will be a 2-week shift pattern comprising of:

  • Week 1: Mornings only 7.00am - 10.00am.
  • Week 2: Mornings 7.00am - 9.00am and 1 hour in the evenings 7.00pm -8.00pm and 8.00pm - 9.00pm to lock up after lettings. Days and times confirmed at interview.
  • 5 hours to be split across the MAT each week as required.  


The postholder will be required at times to work across our school estate, particularly offering practical handyperson skills. Within the team there will be an expectation that members cover for the absence of colleagues and for holiday as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The motivation to achieve the very best for our schools.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Experience/desire to develop skills in health and safety (water checks, temperature checks, acting quickly to remedy repairs etc).
  • A range of handyperson skills and general experience of practical tasks to support our schools with minor repairs, minor redecoration tasks, minor improvements.
  • Experience of working with adults.  

 

You will be expected to:

  • Ensure that all safety compliance checks are completed and documented.
  • Work to a high standard and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Be courteous in dealing with members of the public and lettings.
  • Be a team player who will work well with colleagues across the Multi Academy Trust.
  • Meet the criteria within the job description.
