Salary range Scale 6: From £12.95 - £14.02 per hour
35 hours per week, Term-time plus 3 weeks

Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site Academy catering for children with special educational needs in Shropshire. Our children and young people can access Severndale Specialist Academy from Reception through to Sixth Form and have a range of learning difficulties.
What is the purpose of the role:
The Academy appreciates the value of outdoor opportunities for our young people and how Forest School Leaders play a key role in delivering this important part of the curriculum.
We are looking for inspiring and ambitious individuals to provide exciting and highly engaging activities for our students as a Forest School Leader with the guidance of the teaching staff to deliver an appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of each pupil in accordance with the aims of the Academy. At a specified time, the role will require management of other Teaching Assistants within the Academy, including training, appraisal, allocation and monitoring of work.
Role requirements:
- Forest School Leader Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
- GCSE Grades 9 – 4 (A* to C) in English and Maths
Skills required:
- Ability to build good relationships with children, teachers and parents
- Ability to cope with challenging behaviour
- Encouragement, engagement and inclusion
