Teacher of Maths with Year Team Leader responsibility

TMS/UPS, plus a TLR2b allowance £4,807pa

Full time, starting as soon as possible

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Year Team Leader to join our school who will have a primary role as a teacher of Maths with additional responsibilities as detailed below.  The successful candidate will teach up to GCSE, plus taking responsibility for a year group of students to monitor and track behaviour and welfare, and raising student achievement and progress.  This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague with aspirations for whole school pastoral leadership.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • To successfully lead and manage a team of tutors. To have responsibility for the welfare of students within the year group. To identify areas where students need additional support and work with the appropriate people to implement.  To oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of intervention for students in the year group. To organise and attend meetings with students and parents. To assist with the development and implementation of behaviour plans. To develop, implement and promote the school rewards system. To arrange and promote activities within the school. To prepare and lead assemblies.
