The Role

Supporting Families First have a new Team manager vacancy in our Worcester / Malvern pod.  As part of our Worcestershire Children First 2021/22 business plan, we expanded our work from Edge of care to working in a multi-disciplinary way supporting Children in Need with the aim of facilitating meaningful change to prevent them from becoming a child in need of protection or a child in need of our care. 
The vacancy is within the Worcester/ Malvern Pod of Worcestershire, but you will be supported by your peers in the Wyre Forest/Bromsgrove and Redditch/Wychavon pods. The team is part of the Family Front Door service area, and the management structure has a range of diversity/difference in terms of experience, gender, age, race and ethnicity.
Within the role you will lead and manage a pod of multi-disciplinary team of practitioners  in the delivery of services to Children In Need or those deemed to be on the edge of care with support from 3x Full time equivalent Advanced Social Work Practitioners. You will be fully supported, and line managed by the Group Manager for Supporting Families First. Within each pod there are a number of disciplines which support the day-to-day functionality of each Pod this includes, Administration support, Outreach Workers, Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Substance Misuse Worker, Money Mentors, Youth Mentors and Family Support Workers. In addition, there is also Family Meeting Coordinators who facilitate formal family group conferences. This provides you and the pod with a wide range of skills, flexibility and resources to respond to the needs of  families giving you the ability to be creative and flexible in delivering innovative, intensive and outstanding services to the whole family.
Your main responsibilities will include the line management of your team as per the Job Description and Person Specification for Team Managers.

The Group Manager will provide you with monthly supervision including time for reflection, Team meetings and ongoing advice, guidance and timely decision making.
