Senior Youth Worker
33,039 - 35,985
Fixed Term Until October 2023
An exciting opportunity to develop the youth provision on the Three Estates in South Birmingham. This full-time post will take over the running of a thriving youth project set within the local community.
The project provides young people in the local area with a safe space to go where they take part in positive activities, build and a positive relationship based on trust and respect with a youth worker to develop their emotional and social intelligence. The team support young people by working together to recognize and address issues that they face daily in order to give them a better change in life. You will be supporting young people to explore their pathway towards employment, education and training through the YPP programme. There is a need for an experienced qualified youth worker to be recruited so that we can continue to offer the high-quality youth work in a much-needed area of the city.
The full-time youth worker along with the part time staff team will also be responsible for delivery of a strategic response to work in the local community with partners. As this is a full-time youth worker post with JNC terms and conditions there is a requirement that the postholder holds a JNC qualification. This is a fixed term contract until October although we are exploring long term contract opportunities.

This is required for shortlisting; you need to describe how your experience and skills fit the essential criteria for the role as specified in the Person Specification.
