It would be great if you have experience in recruiting to the Adult Social Care sector – although it’s not essential and most important would be your experience of volume recruitment backed up with media.

What you’ll do

Working collaboratively with Health and Care managers you’ll develop innovative and engaging recruitment solutions that help us to attract the very best candidates. You’ll develop and manage large scale recruitment campaigns ensuring they are in line with employer brand from scoping through to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate/manager experience throughout. You’ll consider all avenues to attract candidates into permanent and temporary roles and you will be considerate of reporting metrics to evidence ROI.

2. Promote a supportive and collaborative approach

You will be a natural at collaboration, actively seeking out colleagues’ thoughts and opinions on your projects. You will engage with managers across the Health and Care Directorate to really understand the roles in order to shape the campaigns you will be developing. You will take a leading role in assessment development and mapping out assessment approaches and schedules.

By providing advice and guidance on the whole recruitment process, you will enjoy plenty of variety in your role – such as conducting fair and objective assessments, direct sourcing, writing advert text and creating interview content. It also means you will seamlessly link up with the Learning and Development team to build an engaging onboarding process, and make sure any internal moves happen in a proactive, positive way. Externally, you will build strong working relationships with job boards, LinkedIn, recruitment agencies and social media resources to make sure our campaigns have maximum impact and success.

3. Provide an accountable service

As a Council, we need to provide an accountable, responsible service that works with and builds the trust of people across Staffordshire. You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that happens, meeting exceptionally high standards to provide a reliable and transparent service.

You’ll embody our values in everything you do across the organisation and you’ll be courageous in how you approach your work, ready to challenge and influence the way things are done so that we can improve our processes. Always striving for ethical decision-making and adhering to professional principles, you will constantly set new targets for your own performance – and help others achieve their goals too.
