Children at the heart of our system.

About Us

Following the success of our Systemic Practice Team we are expanding our intervention offer and developing a Family Therapy Clinic across the Children and Families Service. We have an established, dedicated and highly skilled team of workers focused on the achieving our key priorities;

  • Rehabilitation of children home to their families where it is possible and safe to do so
  • Prevention of accommodation by the Local Authority where possible and safe to do so
  • Sharing systemic practice through Consultation Sessions and training to support the use of systemic skills across the service and with multi-agency colleagues
  • Supporting the stability of placements for children looked after by the Local Authority

The team's vision is to provide focused therapeutic interventions to families alongside supporting our Family Support and Social Work colleagues to continue developing a menu of evidence-based interventions drawing on Restorative Practice, including Non-Violent Resistance and trauma informed practice.

The development of a Family Therapy Clinic is in recognition of the high quality and effective support we have offered family and professional systems to date and we hope to increase the capacity to offer specialist systemic interventions moving forward.

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic and flexible practitioners who can contribute their creativity, passion and skills to our dedicated team. There will be an opportunity to work alongside colleagues at different levels of their Systemic training as well as contribute to peer CPD and supervision spaces dedicated to ongoing development of our skills in practice.
