Labour Market Research Officer

Location: Based at Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH, flexible working available

Contract type: 37 Hours per week | Full time | Permanent

Salary - £27,541 - £31,895

About the role:

A talented and original thinking individual you will join the skills & employability team to assist with the of the economy and skills analysis and research work programme.

The programme is closely aligned to the Council and wider partnership’s priorities, and directly influences and shapes strategy and decision-making in the Council and across the Staffordshire partnership.

Working closely with our Economy and Skills Analyst you’ll be responsible for effectively co-ordinating, managing and delivering economy and skills analysis and research projects including:

  • collating, analysing and interpreting key strategic data and information to monitor progress against strategic priorities
  • source, clean and manage relevant datasets and information including Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
  • develop and coordinate technical research and analysis, using different types of data and information, including primary research with citizens, stakeholders and businesses, qualitative data, policy guidance and service performance data to inform strategies.
