We are looking to appoint a hardworking and reliable Site Manger to join our team. At Oakfield Primary Academy we inspire children to believe in themselves and each other. We create a safe, happy and inclusive environment that encourages independence, resilience and learning.

As a key member of our school community, our Site Manager will be:

 

  • Responsible for managing caretaking services to all buildings forming the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Undertaking weekly, monthly and termly statutory checks in accordance with the school’s Health and Safety Policy i.e. fire alarm checks, water testing.
  • Have responsibility for undertaking minor or temporary maintenance and repairs.
  • Act as a point of contact for the contractors and contract cleaning staff.
  • Ensuring our grounds are maintained, safe and tidy.
  • Responsible to the Head teacher or nominated representative for the effective provision of caretaking, cleaning and site maintenance routines and responding to emergencies relating to the site as necessary.
  • Considerate and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

We would love to hear from you if you are an individual who has:

  • Knowledge and experience of building and facilities management.
  • Understanding the importance of security for child protection.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Time management and the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use initiative and be proactive.
  • Flexible approach to duties.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Be able to operate cleaning equipment, machinery and tools and undertake basic maintenance.
  • Have minor maintenance skills (e.g. plumbing, electrical, glazing, woodwork).
  • Understand basic administrative systems (lettings, extra hours, maintenance hotline, ordering).
  • Can solve straightforward problems and respond to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. hazards, accidents etc.) Friendly and a good team player
