A vacancy has arisen within the Property Repairs Services (PRS) department for a management and finance assistant. The service delivers responsive property repairs, handy person services and void property refurbishments across several locations within the Borough.
The role will involve working on the financial elements within PRS to deliver a high-quality service by efficiently processing invoices for materials and contractors, raising purchase orders, scrutinising jobs for correct allocation of materials and labour, whilst also working closely with colleagues to identify process and service improvements.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, robust problem-solving skills and have an exceptional eye for detail. In addition, the ability to prioritise work and react professionally to an ever-changing situation is an essential requisite for the role along with being an excellent team player with good administrative and communication skills.
A background in finance is essential for this role, and a self-starter who can hit the ground running would be desirable.
