Adult Safeguarding Practitioner (Qualified Social Worker or equivalent professional qualification including Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapist)

Salary:  £32,798- £37,568 per annum (pro rata)

37 Hours per week – Permanent

The Adult Safeguarding Enquiry Team have an exciting opportunity for 2 Safeguarding Practitioners to join a dynamic and forward thinking team based within a multi-agency environment.  We are a small but busy specialist safeguarding team based at Staffordshire Police Headquarters completing enquires across the county.  We are a supportive team offering flexible working patterns, regular supervision, learning and

About the role

The role of the safeguarding practitioner is to respond to primarily complex and high risk adult safeguarding concerns ensuring that the principles of the Care Act and specifically Making Safeguarding Personal are adhered to. The safeguarding practitioner will complete Section 42 (safeguarding) enquiries and undertake a range of activities, including the development of safeguarding plans, to achieve identified outcomes wherever possible.

We have developed effective working relationships with multi-agency partners including Social Care, Health, Police and the Third Sector.  Our work complements case management activities and the functions of other agencies. 

What you’ll bring

A sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and policies, and a broader knowledge of adult social care is essential as well as a passion and commitment to working with other agencies to achieve outcomes. In return you will develop your skills and knowledge of adult social care and wider safeguarding practices in an exceptionally supportive team.
