The Role

An exciting opportunity for an Adult Education Tutor with an English or English ESOL specialism has become available within our English, Maths & ESOL team!  This full-time, part-year role involves teaching adults 19+ and young adults aged 16-19 seeking the skills and/or qualifications they need to support their first steps into work or further learning, progress in their current job role, or take a new career direction. Whatever their individual goal might be, you get to see the difference your teaching is making to lives on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent teaching and learning practice in both online and face to face environments.  Depending on the unique skills and experience you bring to the role, our varied programme offers potential teaching opportunities delivering qualifications (GCSE English, Functional Skills English), core skills (SPAG, ESOL SPAG) and our Refugee & Resettlement provision. As part of a small, supportive team of highly dedicated tutors you would be taking an active role in the shared planning of lessons and contributing to curriculum development and improvements.

English and maths tuition sit at the heart of our Learning Services provision. During the current climate of COVID recovery, we are ideally placed to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our community’s adult learners so your awareness of the challenges and opportunities jobseekers are facing will help you to play your part in providing our high-quality service.
