Location: Worcester, Hybrid Working
Fixed Term Contract - Until 31/07/2023

The Role

Learning Services Worcestershire are recruiting for a full-time Senior Tutor (part-year) to work within our existing Teaching & Education staff team.
This new position will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our 16-19 Study Programme/ Traineeship, supporting young adults on their first steps into employment within the education sector.

Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will be used to working with young adults, sometimes with a range of educational, social and emotional needs, to engage and inspire them to experience success. Like us, you will be passionate about the difference high-quality education can make to the lives of young adults.

You will demonstrate excellent teaching and learning practice in both face to face and online environments and alongside teaching the Award in Support Work in Schools qualification, you will be delivering pastoral support, overseeing work experience, and teaching some entry-level English and maths for learners taking this pathway.  As part of a small, supportive team of highly dedicated tutors you will be taking an active role in the shared planning of lessons and contributing to curriculum development and improvements.

During the current climate of COVID recovery, we are ideally placed to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our community’s young adult learners so your awareness of the challenges and opportunities young adults are facing will help you to play your part in providing our high-quality service.

If this sounds like the right role for you, we look forward to receiving your application. Informal discussions about the role, our Service or the process of applying are also welcomed. Please call 01905 728537 and ask for Beccy Fraser if you would like to know more. The proposed interview date may be open to negotiation if planned holiday is a deterrent to application.

Benefits

In return, you can look forward to (per annum, pro rata for part-time) :

• 25 days holiday (potential to match up to 30 days), plus bank holidays
• Greener Car Scheme & Bike Scheme
