In July 2021 Dudley Council confirmed its commitment to becoming a ‘Child Friendly’ borough, where every child has the right to grow up in an environment where they feel safe to play, learn and grow. A place where they have access to public services and where their voice is heard and matters.

Taking inspiration and building on evidence of what works, Dudley has commenced a programme of activity to deliver its ambitions. It has been recognised that a level of dedicated resource is required in the form of a ‘Child Friendly Dudley’ team.

An initial allocation of fixed-term funding has been made available and we are now seeking an exceptional individual to Lead on this exciting Programme of work. The post will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract.

The team will be working across the whole of the Dudley Borough with partners from the public, private and voluntary sector. You must have experience of programme management and be able to demonstrate effective partnership working within a broad multi-agency environment.
