Job Title: Health Improvement Practitioner

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week permanent

Salary: Grade 8 (£29,174- £31,895)

Base: Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council/ agile working

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Dudley for a suitably qualified and experienced public health / health improvement professional to support the development of the children and young people’s agenda, helping children to thrive in Dudley. Working with partners in education, community, voluntary, health services and others who serve Dudley’s children and young people.   

The post holder will develop and apply public health expertise and support a broad portfolio of health improvement programmes, which aim to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. This will include contributing to building capacity for health and wellbeing improvement across the council, partners and the public. You will need to have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in public health or related field, be highly self –motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
