About Us and the Role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for Business Support Officer’s within the Blue Badge team.  We have part time posts available on a 2-year fixed term basis.  Days and times are negotiable but would need to include a Monday and a Friday morning.

 

We are looking for those that can work in a busy team where deadlines are crucial.  You need to have good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure applications are processed consistently, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements. 

 

You will be working in a small friendly business support team.  The role involves processing the variety of applications received from customers applying for a blue badge, and it is rewarding seeing the process through from receipting the applications to issuing the badges and making a difference to the lives of those with mobility problems.  You will receive relevant training as, as well as using a variety of Windows based systems, you will be using the national Blue Badge Database and Firmstep management information system.  You will need to available Tues-Thurs (days/times negotiable) for at least the first 2 weeks for training with the team.    

 

You will work proactively, looking for news way of working, contributing to the outcomes of the service you are supporting as well as the outcomes of the Business Support Service. You will be working on an agile contract and will be based in the office in Shire Hall, Warwick.

 

Business Support contributes to the efficient running of the team and the achievement of the County Council vision to make Warwickshire the best it can be, sustainable now and for future generations.
