Sandwell Children’s Trust are recruiting for a Procurement Support Officer for the Commissioning Team. We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children & young people.

The post holder will support the Sandwell Children’s Trust Commissioning Team in the function of commissioning external placements, liaising with internal fostering team and supporting the Placement and Procurement Officers on the duty rota.

 

Key requirements of the post are:

  • To provide administrative support around contract management and commissioning projects
  • To act as a point of liaison between the Council and commissioned services
  • Keep contract documentation up to date, undertake payment and performance monitoring, and provide support and paperwork for Chairs of contract monitoring meetings
  • Liaison with external providers to secure placements that needs of children while offering value for money

Hours:

37 hours per week

Candidates will need to have: -  

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business studies
  • Minimum of 18 months experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders including staff from public and voluntary sector organisations and the general public.
  • Ability to collate information from a variety of sources.
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of project management.
