Social Work Practitioner
Purple Leaf (the preventative arm of West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre) provides psychosocial education, assessment and intervention to children and young people who may have experienced or at risk of sexual abuse or are exhibiting harmful or problematic sexual behaviour or sibling sexual abuse (HSB/PSB/SSA). We have been working in the field of sexual abuse and sexual violence for over thirty years and are a well-established charity working on both regional and national contracts.
We need an experienced Social Work Practitioner to work in the assessment and intervention service focussing on the assessment service for children and young people who present with Inappropriate, problematic and harmful sexualised behaviours. The successful candidate will help develop an assessment tools and interventions, carry a caseload, and complete assessment and intervention for children and young people presenting with PSB/HSB/SSA.
This is an opportunity for an experienced social worker who has assessment and intervention skills in supporting children and young people who have both experienced sexual abuse and have exhibited problematic sexual behaviour.
The successful candidate will be experienced at working within multiagency settings, be client led and focused on empowering the children they work with.
The candidate must understand the nature and impact of sexual violence, have experience of working in this sector and have carried out assessments for children and young people who have exhibited HSB/PSB.

The post can be based in Herefordshire or Worcestershire but the successful applicant must have the ability to travel.
