We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accommodation Officer - Housing Solutions
This dedicated role sits within the wider Housing Solutions Service, providing a key point of contact for Housing Solutions Officers, and stakeholders, ensuring that all our temporary accommodation and services related to the use of temporary accommodation, are being managed to the highest standard.
Homeless households occupying temporary accommodation are some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, and the temporary accommodation they are occupying needs to be appropriate and suitable.
Working closely with the Housing Solutions and Landlord Solutions teams you will play a be a key role in delivering the Councils duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
Must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships internally and externally to the Council, networking with partners both within the organisation and externally in support of the Council’s key values
Experience of physical housing stock inspections, in relation to property condition and tenancy standards within the property.
Experience of dealing directly with members of the public, and an understanding of customer care.
Experience of managing rent accounts including benefit/money advice.
