We are currently recruiting for a Housing Solutions Officer Working as part of the Housing Solutions Service team delivering the Council’s Statutory Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 duties.

Preventing Homelessness is a key priority for the council, and the housing market is continuing to be a challenging landscape for all those working in the sector and trying to ensure everyone has a decent, affordable, safe and warm home to live in. This very busy service area deals with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities and prides itself on delivering customer centred services. Are you ready for a challenge? We are looking for candidates with;

A Knowledge of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 statutory duties in terms of Prevention, Relief and Homeless is a key requirement for this role
The ability to work under pressure, sometimes having to deal with individuals or subject matter that can be emotive, and demanding is a frequent element of this role, and therefore a key requirement for the post holder.
You need to be able to use excellent organisational skills in terms of service planning, prioritising work, time management, effective use of resources and performance evaluation.


Experience of working in a housing and/or public sector environment
Experience of dealing directly with members of the public with care and empathy
Be able to demonstrate experience of working in partnership with multiple statutory and third sector organisations.
