This is an exciting time to join the City of Wolverhampton Council as a social worker.

Are you a qualified social worker who would like a role that offers good work balance and non-traditional hours that could support your personal circumstances.  If So MASH 24 could be for you. 

In this role you will be responsible for triaging referrals that come into the MASH in the day time, ensuring we have the right information from partners and making consistent and safe decisions about threshold. In the City of Wolverhampton we will be offering a flexible approach to working and employees will not be required to be in the office all of the time to undertake the role.

During evening and weekends social workers will read all referrals in the usual way but you could also need to go out to undertake Child Protection enquiries or respond to emergency situations. Social workers will always have a Senior Practitioner or Team Manager on call to offer support and advice.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to undertake:

o A Children’s panel interview

o A written exercise

o A panel interview
