The Role

Worcestershire County Council in response to Covid 19 and the growing challenge of Youth Unemployment, is looking to recruit a Careers and Employment Advisors to work with young people in Worcestershire.
Worcestershire County Council's Skills team part funded by The European Social Fund which supports young people to improve their careers education as well as programmes to support people who are out of work. This exciting Careers and Employment Advisor role will work both through our educational establishments providing Careers Advice and Guidance to years 11, 12 and 13 students but also working out in our communities.
The successful applicants will work across Worcestershire offering support and guidance as needed to a high standard, being either qualified to Level 6 or 4 in Information, Advice and Guidance or with a good level of equivalent compensatory experience, strong communication, good interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail and being self-motivated with a desire to study the qualification. 
Reporting to and working closely with a range of partners, you’ll work with the Council teams, Local Enterprise Partnership ,Education establishments across Worcestershire as well as interacting with young people whilst ensuring that your role contributes to deliver the desired outputs, outcomes and benefits, in line with the programme. Reporting to the Careers Hub Deputy Manager this role will be based in our Wildwood campus in Worcester but working across the county ideally over 35 hours a week ( part time hours will be considered )
The posts will be contracted to December 2023, Part funded by the European Social Fund.
