We are currently recruiting for A Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator (DAC).
This is a new and unique role sitting within the Council’s Housing Solutions Team. The role has been designed to assist the council to deliver its duties under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, Housing Act 1996, and Homelessness Prevention Act 2017 legislation.
The DAC will be responsible for the management and monitoring of the councils MARAC cases, accordingly attending all MARAC meetings.
If you have a desire to help victims of Domestic Abuse and their families, to support them to secure and/or sustain suitable and safe accommodation, exploring their options, and have experience of working with a range of partners in both statutory and third sector settings to enable the best outcomes for customers, this may be the job for you?
We are looking for applicants with knowledge of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and
Knowledge of the Warwickshire Safe Accommodation Strategy 2021 – 2024.
We are also looking for candidates with Experience of supporting victims of domestic abuse, Experience of contributing to partnership and multi-agency working,
the ability to deal with some of the most vulnerable customers of the Council empathetically, supporting the customer to have confidence and feel assured in the multi-agency approach to resolving their housing needs.
