Service Manager (Child Protection)
Directorate: Children and Family Services
Section: Children’s Social Care
Duration: Fixed term until 31 March 2023
Grade: Level 15
Hours: 37 hours per week
Stoke-on-Trent would like to invite a manager with extensive experience of safeguarding to undertake targeted work to further improve the quality of our child protection planning. The successful candidate will work directly with practitioners to develop our approach to smart planning.
We will aim to use this post to add capacity and upskill the service around smart intervention, aiming to safely end child protection plans sooner and reduce the need for children to go through the Public Law Outline (PLO) process.
This post would both provide additional short-term capacity to help manage practitioners and work on plans, as well as support staff to develop their skills in this area, working one-on-one and with small groups.
If you have any queries about the role, please contact Sam MacDonald on 01782 231872 or email email@example.com
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
