Housing and Welfare Support Officer, Ref: CH04722
Salary: G6 £23,953- £28,226 per annum
37 hours per week- Fixed Term Contract
The role is initially for 12 months (to backfill a secondment)

About the role:
You will be working within the Temporary Accommodation projects supporting and assisting families and vulnerable individuals that find themselves homeless.
As part of this role you will be supporting vulnerable adults, which include homeless people, former rough sleepers, offenders and those with complex needs who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
It would be an advantage to be able to speak a number of different languages but not essential
How you can help:
- You will have the support of a well-established team that will help you in your role and provide high quality customer service and support to some of the most vulnerable families that live within our Temporary Accommodation units.
- Working alongside the Housing & Welfare Officers, you will help to access secure housing for people.
- Supporting these residents to develop and improve new and existing skills along with the knowledge and confidence to break and prevent the cycle of homelessness and sustain long term tenancies.
- The successful candidates will work within the Housing Support Team.
Though the role can be challenging and frustrating at times, it is ultimately rewarding.
