The role includes the provision of professional facilities management support to a number of Council owned and operated buildings but primarily the recently redeveloped Council Offices and Community Hub located in Codsall.

The Person

We are looking for someone who has experience of facilities management in a large office, multi-functional building or similar.

Our Senior Caretaker will work as part of the wider Facilities Management Team and will lead a small team of caretaking staff as well as acting as the main point of contact for our externally provided cleaners.  As such the post holder will need to have excellent inter personal skills and be able to lead the team effectively.

The successful post holder will have a good understanding of operational building management including knowledge of current health & safety legislation including fire safety and legionella management. 

A good understanding of property maintenance techniques including painting, decorating, plumbing and minor repairs would be an advantage.

The role requires a flexible approach to work including working early mornings, evenings and weekends as part of a rota system alongside other Facilities Management staff.
