Warwick District Council looks after approximately 5500 homes, 500 leases and circa 2000 garages.

The Covid 19 pandemic, has meant we are continually looking at innovative ways to help support people to maintain their homes, particularly through the current cost of living crisis. You therefore have an exciting opportunity to join our Landlord Operations Team to help the with our housing management function.

The Income Management Officer will maximise income from rent, and other charges, through preventative and pro-active measures, ensuring an effective income collection recovery service in accordance with legislation, WDC policy and procedures. You will therefore be required to provide an effective and customer focused housing income collection service ensuring tenants receive appropriate advice, financial inclusion, and assistance to enable them to pay and sustain their tenancies.

Duties will include taking ownership of recovery, making agreements with tenants to pay outstanding arrears on rent and other charges, including taking enforcement action if necessary, representing Warwick District Council in court where applicable. 

This is a public facing role of Housing Services, so you need excellent communication skills, as you will be engaging with our customers on a daily basis, problem solving and interacting with tenants. You will need to effectively deal with their concerns and work with colleagues throughout the service.

Requirements of the role include a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required as this role will include visiting tenants in their home.

The successful candidate will need to be able to deal with enquiries on the telephone as required and undertake site visits where necessary.

The intention is for this jobholder to work from home. However, office working, and hybrid working is also available.
