37 Hours Per Week – Permanent

 

Environmental Services provide a range of services including grounds maintenance, street cleansing, litter bin maintenance and fly tip removal throughout the City of Wolverhampton.

 

You will: -

 

  • be required to undertake a full range of skilled and unskilled horticultural, cleansing activities and any administrative work associated with the role.
  • Willing to work on different shift patterns depending on work requirements.
  • Preferably, hold a full driving licence but not essential

 

 

Duties will include undertaking both skilled and unskilled horticultural and street cleansing activities consistent to NVQ Level 1.

 

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, across 5 out of any 7 day period (as specified by the line manager) 

 

You would benefit from having previous experience of horticultural and street cleansing related functions, including the use of vehicles such as lawn mowers, mechanical grass cutting equipment and LGV vans etc where appropriately trained and qualified.

 

You should have good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team or on your own and undertake other duties that include dealing with members of the public as required, liaising with other members of Environmental Services, Lead Operatives, other Council officers, Supervisors and Managers.
