This is a politically restricted post

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team, which is responsible for providing the Internal Audit Services across the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and West Midlands Police. The post holder will support the Head of Internal Audit and Principal Auditors in the delivery of the internal audit plan and providing a highly effective internal audit function ensuring high levels of compliance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and other mandatory guidance.

 

The position involves undertaking a wide range of audits across different services and operational policing areas and includes scoping, designing risk-based audit programmes, testing, reporting and discussing findings with senior management. Therefore, an awareness of internal audit methodologies is necessary, as is the ability to communicate effectively.
