Brief overview of the role

Telford & Wrekin Council are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated fully qualified Environmental Health officer to join our busy domestic team. The role is varied and includes private sector housing regulation including houses in multiple occupation and statutory nuisance.

Working to the Public Protection Manager the post duties include:

• Being responsible for the delivery of operational functions, dealing with service requests and provision of advice and guidance on all areas designated to the post to determine compliance with legal requirements.

• To actively engage in commercialisation initiatives

• To contribute to the development of strategies, procedures and policies

• To act as the lead officer for designated areas of Environmental Health

Applicants must have a degree level in Environmental Health or equivalent and have EHORB registration. Applicants should be able to provide evidence on continued professional and personal development.
