Salary:  £23,953- £27,514 per annum

37 Hours per week, Permanent

Based on Country Parks, working across Staffordshire

About the role

We are looking for an experienced countryside practitioner to join our Country Parks Team. As a Countryside Officer, you will play a key role in managing our parks, local sites and greenways across the county, making sure they are in great shape for wildlife, heritage and for our communities and visitors to enjoy.

What you’ll bring

With sound knowledge and experience of countryside management on public sites, you’ll have practical skills and be used to working outdoors. You’ll understand the survey and management requirements of key habitats and species. You’ll be familiar with managing health and safety and ensuring the sites are safe and welcoming. Experienced at working with volunteers, you’ll also be a good communicator, able to engage with visitors to positively influence behaviour and bring the sites to life.
