Location of Post: Various Children’s homes around the county. Mainly Pershore, Evesham and Kidderminster.

Are you a highly motivated social care professional with experience in residential setting for children?

Worcestershire Children First are looking for Relief Residential Support workers to join the organisation in providing cover and support to homes when needed.

The homes that you will be working at are 52-week placement that offers a comprehensive residential service to children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorder within Worcestershire Children First. The team ensures the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children/young people and assist in their positive holistic development and resilience.

You will be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children/young people in the home. You will also be required to promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home and support the young people with their day to day activities.

As a member of the relief staffing team you will be involved in supporting the young people to develop their social and independence skills and undertake key working responsibilities.

You will be required to work on a shift basis to accommodate the needs of the young people and the Home. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young people is essential in this instance.

Due to the demand of the role, although you will be providing cover for the homes, you will still receive support and supervisions from the registered managers of the homes.
