About Us
Warwickshire County Council County Highways undertake routine highway maintenance schemes/works.
Our Contract & Policy Team manage our winter services, highway policy and strategy, health and safety, environmental strategy, procurement, highway depots, financial and contractual requirements that County Highways are required to fulfil and legal, service and compliance obligations for the provision of highway services.
The Role
To develop and supervise highway policy and strategy within County Highways.
Provide input into asset management frameworks to help identify future maintenance, renewal and enhancement needs to develop the forward programme.
To deal directly with elected Member's, senior managers, Government Departments and other national and regional departments or agencies on behalf of County Highways.
Ensure that the service operates efficiently, safely and all risks and issues are controlled.

Key Requirements
To be successful you’ll need good routine highway maintenance; good communication skills both verbal and written; planning and organising and IT skills.
Provide advice to those engaged in activities such as budgetary and financial planning, litigation, legislation, and health and safety.
Development of the organisations strategic plans, including the creative use of information and communications technology.
