The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant who has proven skills in supporting children within the EYFS phase.

A detailed knowledge of working with and supporting children with speech, language and communication needs will also be required.

The position is 32 hours a week, to start as soon as possible, predominately based within our Reception classes.

The suitable candidate will have experience of delivering effective phonic sessions to small groups of pupils, as well as both ‘Keep up and Catch up’ interventions.  They will also have a secure knowledge of the importance of Early Reading.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a patient and nurturing practitioner;
  • will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of our pupils to enable them to make the best progress possible
  • is keen to work as part of a team
  • is willing to share good practice
  • is willing to contribute to the life of the school and its community

The successful applicant will be part of an exceptionally hardworking EYFS team. They will have very high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour. The successful applicant will have a genuine enthusiasm for whole school life.
