Mechanical & Electrical Compliance Officer

 

£28,226 - £32,798 per annum

plus essential car user allowance

 

Hybrid working contract

 

37 hours per week

 

Permanent contract

 

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Officer you will assist in ensuring the authority remains compliant in all its statutory aspects.

 

We are looking for a conscientious, confident, and self-motivated individual, with a sound knowledge of compliance related policies. In addition to this, the successful candidate will have a practical understanding of the NHF schedule of rates, construction design and management regulations, building regulations, estimating techniques, project management, budget control, performance management and review systems.

 

You will display a commitment to providing a customer focused service and making a difference in service delivery.  Good communication skills and the ability to work both as a team member and independently are key attributes for this role.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally be qualified to HNC/HND level in a construction related discipline or have a number of years in role experience
  • Have existing knowledge and skills that will be developed through formal and in-post training
  • Possess a full driving license and have access to a vehicle

 

As M&E Compliance Officer you will be monitoring contracts to ensure the Council remains legally compliant in areas such as:

  • Asbestos
  • Legionella
  • Gas
  • Electric
  • CDM
  • H&S
  • Fire Risks
  • LOLER

This will be through on-site visits, liaising with contractors and desktop analysis.

 

You will be working closely with housing management teams, residents, and premises managers to ensure operational service delivery.

 

This is a hybrid working contract, there is a requirement for some duties to be carried out at home and some on site. Site attendance will constitute more than 40% of available working time.
