  • Salary: £30,984 - £35,336 per annum (FTE)
  • Part-time: 22 hours 12 minutes per week 
  • Pro rata to hours worked, approx. £18,439.67 - £21,029.70

We are seeking to hire an Assessor to join our established in-house Blue Badge Team in Walsall. 

As a Blue Badge Assessor you will be expected to work as part of the Blue Badge Team to determine whether applicants meet the eligibility criteria set out by the Department for Transport.

You will be motivated and conscientious with a broad knowledge of health conditions (both physical and non-physical) and the impact that they can have on activities of daily living, specifically walking during the course of a journey.  You will have the ability to understand the Department for Transport’s Blue Badge Guidance and the confidence to employ this to make eligibility decisions. 

You must have experience in the assessment of adults and children with complex needs and be registered as one of the following:

  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the HCPC / or
  • Registered as a Physiotherapist with the HCPC / or
  • Registered as a General Nurse with NMC
