Can you provide a positive, proactive approach to behaviour, punctuality and attendance issues to enable students to maximise their potential? Can you demonstrate success in working with young people, families and agencies to ensure that students are engaged with their learning? If so, this could be just the role for you.

As the 'front line' year leader, this fulfilling role will provide a wealth of developmental opportunities and the chance to work with a diverse range of students and professionals. Your ability to build relationships with students and colleagues, and apply your trusted yet innovative techniques to support and challenge to bring about the best possible outcomes for students, will be key.

Students will always be at the heart of your endeavours and with a deep understanding of their needs, you could be a pivotal change agent for the young people in our school, providing them with the tools to excel in their journey through school life.

Key responsibilities in this non-teaching role will include:

  • Managing and supporting the work of students to ensure they reach optimum performance including the implementation of intervention strategies
  • Establishing good communication links between students and other stakeholders
  • Logging, monitoring and analysing student data to bring about school improvement
  • Encouraging positive attitudes and behaviour around the school and assisting in transition arrangements.

We will ensure you receive a comprehensive induction programme, and also offer a range of benefits including the local government pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, free parking, an employee discount scheme and a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition through our wellbeing committee and people strategy.

This is an exciting time to join us.  We are part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust which specialises in leadership and was founded in February 2013. Our Headteacher is proudly dedicated to providing our 1000 students with the opportunity to thrive at school through academic progress, extra-curricular experiences and pastoral care.
