Job Details

 

Warwickshire County Council’s Adult and Community Learning is a dynamic, forward-looking adult education service, judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We provide a diverse range of learning opportunities to adults across the whole county

 

We are seeking two maths tutors with excellent and current subject knowledge, to join our team. The candidates should display a creative approach to teaching and an ability to inspire and support a range of learners to beat their ‘maths anxiety’, develop their skills and encourage them achieve to their full potential.

Maths is taught through both face-to-face and online classes. These classes range from Entry level right up to GCSE courses. Sessions are set to be accessible to all so this does include evening sessions too

 

We have 2 permanent posts one x 0.5fte and one x 0.6fte

We have 3 main bases across the county so there will be some necessary travel

 

 

Key requirements

You will possess an understanding of:

  • Best practice in the teaching of adults, and how to support and develop this
  • How to engage adult learners, particularly those experiencing varied barriers to learning

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience of working and teaching in the adult and community sector.
  • Have experience of delivering maths to learners at varying levels using a diverse range of teaching methods
