This role is a fixed term post till 31.03.23

Sandwell Museum Service is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative Living History Senior Leader to be responsible for the day to day supervision of our education team delivering creative learning sessions to schools and other educational groups. 

The post holder will deliver a high standard of customer care and public service to visitors of all ages and cultural backgrounds. 

The post holder will join our busy creative team delivering exciting creative learning sessions to formal learning groups as well as supervising the education team and undertaking the administration and resourcing of education sessions liaising with site supervisors. The post holder will also be supporting the Museum services Manager in making connections and partnerships with local schools. 

The post holder will need a flexible approach to working as the post holder will work on a rota basis and sessionally when schools are booked in and admin is required with other team members when schools are booked in and at other times to undertake administration.

Requirements:

  • GCSE maths and English or equivalent at grade C or above
  • Generally good literacy levels in written and spoken form. Good verbal communication skills
