About Us and the Role

 

Warwickshire library service is looking for a Library Information & Learning Officer to join their team. This is a vital role, and the successful candidate will work as part of a small team delivering ICT support to staff and customers across the county. The role involves facilitating use of the public computer network, Let’s Make and Virtual Library resources. Promoting access to library services, training staff to support customers and to provide direct customer support as required.

 

Your main base will be Rugby Library, but you will need to be flexible with your approach to work across the County and with your working hours to ensure the team are supported.

  

Key Skills & Experience Required

 

  • 4 GCSE passes, Grade C or above or equivalent, to include English and Maths and ICT.
  • Highly proficient in the use of general office software (eg word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail), searching the Internet and computerised systems.
  • Experience of working with members of the public in a customer service environment
  • Experience of planning & delivering ICT training and supporting users of ICT.
  • Ability to travel effectively around the County.
