About Us and The Role

OFSTED have rated us Good!

Our Offer to you.

Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team with a recent OFSTED rating of Good. We recruit foster carers, assess them, take applicants to our virtual fostering panel and offer our Warwickshire foster carers training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team, a Fostering Placement Hub and a psychologist who supports foster carers and staff. We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers. In addition to this Warwickshire offers wide ranging training. Our staff group is made up of fostering support workers and social workers. Our team is growing to match the needs of the children in Warwickshire. We are proud of our Fostering Team and if you join us you will see why.

We are looking for a Fostering Reviewing Officer (FRO) who also is deputy to the Fostering Panel Chair Advisor. This is permanent full-time position. The role is to assess and review foster carers ongoing approval when it comes to their annual foster home performance review (after the first year). The position would be of a quality assurance nature, and you would work alongside the Agency Decision Maker. The role also involves giving advice to Social Workers and managers on questions relevant to reviews. Other duties would be to produce a quarterly report on the numbers, standards, challenges, and themes of our reviews. You are also responsible for monitoring the fostering register. You will deputise for the Panel Advisor to cover holiday periods. This will involve organising Panel, quality assuring all assessments and reviews that come to Panel and acting as Panel Advisor on the day of Panel providing guidance on fostering regulations.  You will work closely with the Panel Advisor to explore themes and challenges and consider ways to share learning to the wider Fostering Team. There is also the opportunity for project work.

We would welcome you into a stable and established team.
