Education, Health and Care Plan Assistant
Under the direction of a Senior member of staff you will provide a high quality, customer-focussed Service to all service users and stakeholders of the SEN Management Service.
You will support the the following service areas: assessment of pupils with special educational needs, associated work for pupils excluded or at risk of exclusion from school, Pupils Educated at Home by their parents and Safeguarding matters.
You will be liasing with schools, parents, colleges, young people and other council departments dealing with enquiries relating to Education, Health and Care Needs assessments and supporting senior staff with the administration of casework.
We are looking for highly motivated, person-centred professionals to support the Statutory Assessment Service. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate valuable experience of working in a busy service and able to meet competing demands whilst delivering an excellent customer experience. You will have an understanding of the 2014 SEND Reforms.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to prioritise work streams and able to stay calm under pressure. You will have a collaborative approach to work and be willing to support families, children, young people, schools, colleges and other agencies. A key function of the role will be to support the administration of the Education, Health and Care needs assessment process. You will need a good level of literacy,and numeracy and will hold Level 2 qualificaitons in Engligh and Maths.
