Operations Manager - Commissioning
An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage the Adult Social Care Commissioning Team in Sandwell. The Operational Manager will have responsibility for the management of the Commissioning Team and will contribute to the management and transformation of Sandwell services across Social Care and Health, as well as the wider council and independent sector.
The Operational Manager will take the lead on strategically commissioning the care and support services within a modern social care and health market. It does this by assuring itself that local commissioning arrangements are in place as defined by the Care Act 2014; ensuring that commissioning practice is person-centred and outcome-focused; working through co-production that ensures that individuals are positively engaged and are active partners in the commissioning process which will look to continuously improve the quality of life of adults in Sandwell.
The post does requires knowledge of the latest relevant legislative and regulatory framework and Government initiatives for Adult Social Care within a commissioning context, experience of managing teams, partnership working and managing change. In addition applicants should have a strong understanding of financial, resource and performance management, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
