The Federation of Hanbury' Farm and Oakhill Primary Schools  currently educates approximately 300 children age 4 to 11, across 2 small schools. Both schools are one form entry primary schools with a short distance between them.

The Governors and Executive Headteacher at the Federation of  Hanbury’s Farm and Oakhill Primary Schools are seeking to appoint a supportive and empathetic Family Support Worker to work directly with families and children within the schools and the community in order to promote, strengthen and develop the potential of parents/carers and children. The role will include liasing and developing strong relationships with the families you are supporting, whilst also progressing in developing links with the wider community.

This position will be based across both Hanbury's Farm and Oakhill Primary Schools.

Both schools are dedicated to providing a positive, safe, inspiring and inclusive environment to allow our children to grow and develop. We believe our schools are an integral part of our communities.

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience;

•           Resilient with emotional intelligence and an understanding of family dynamics and child development.

•           Experience of positive parenting skills and direct work with young people.

•           Experience of engaging and working with families facing challenges.

•           A solution-focused and strength-based ethos.

The role is a fixed term, temporary position until 31st August 2023

Monday to Friday 19.5 hours per week, 39 working weeks. Term time only.

Grade 5, SCP 6 - 9, Full time equivalent £21,968  -  £23,194

Actual annual salary £9,958 - £ 10,514 for weeks worked
