We seeking an innovative Team Manager to make a significant contribution significantly to this exciting development and make a real difference to the lives of children in care in Telford and Wrekin.

We are seeking a person with significant experience in the provision and management of Fostering services.

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Undertaking the role of the Ofsted Registered Manager, and ensure full compliance with National Fostering Standards with Regulations and good practice guidelines are fully met

• Knowledge of statutory legislation for children and young people in care.

• Provision of Mainstream Fostering, specialist placements for Mother & Baby, Children and young people with a range of specialist and or Additional needs.

• Managerial oversight of the placements of Children and young people with Foster carers

• Training, Development and Support to our Foster carers

Requirements:

• Applicants must hold a Social work qualification; HCPC registered and hold a relevant management qualification or currently working towards completion within next 12 months.

• Significant post qualifying experience as a Qualified Social Worker working within Child Protection, children in Care, and directly within a Fostering service.

• At least 2 years post qualifying experience at a senior level or 1 years experience within a managerial post preferably managing a team of social workers within fostering and adoption

• An extensive working knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, Fostering and Adoption including the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice

• Experience of leading a team and provision of individual supervision to meet performance targets, service quality and individual skills and development.

• Experience of working in partnership with a range of key stakeholders to maintain and develop services for our children and young people in care and their foster carers.

• Ability to work flexibly involving planned evening and weekend working
