Head of Maths - Assistant Headteacher Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an passionate, ambitious and highly motivated Head of Maths. We have the opportunity to expand our SLT this summer but only for the right candidate.
The candidate will be joining a highly conscientious, exciting and forward thinking school. Summer 2016 results have seen an increase on the previous years results to: 61% of students gaining A*-C and 100% gaining A*-G in Maths .
These are exciting times for Crestwood as we have been oversubscribed in Year 7 for the last two consecutive years and have a growing Sixth Form that was reintroduced in Septembers 2015. Crestwood School was rated 'Good' in all aspects by Ofsted in June 2014 and recognised in the top 20% of school nationally for students’ progress 2013 to 2015.
Hours: Full Time
To provide an effective education to students within the framework provided by the Headteacher and Governing Body and with regard to all statutory requirements and the professional standards for teachers.
We are seeking:
- A good to outstanding classroom practitioner who is self reflective on their own practice.
- A resilient leader who is an adaptable team player who can work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A willingness to make significant contribution to the department and school as a whole.
The Maths department is a friendly, supportive department with high expectations of students and enthusiastic and passionate for teaching Maths.
