The Orchards Primary Academy, located in the centre of a new development in Northfield, opened on 1 July 2013. As a Primary Academy with a Pre-School and a full time Nursery, we are able to nurture and support children from a young age until the end of their primary education.

The future for The Orchards is very exciting. In March 2015 we were judged as a Good school by Ofsted, we are now striving towards our school becoming 'Outstanding'.  We are included in the Primary School Rebuild Programme and plans are in progress for the construction of our new school.

 

We are looking to appoint a Literacy Lead who is also an excellent class teacher. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate flair and creativity. In return you will be provided with opportunities for further development within a very supportive and friendly school.

The successful applicant will need to:

Show commitment to achieving high academic standards,
Have drive, stamina and enthusiasm, 
Have a passion for Teaching and Learning.

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate consistently good and outstanding practice.  Have a proven track record of improving standards of teaching and learning and experience of encouraging and developing excellent classroom practice.
