There is a ‘New and Exciting Opportunity’ to join Worcestershire County Council’s Outstanding Residential Service
We are looking for a high calibre team manager. The role will involve managing a team of residential support workers, and requires a highly skilled and experienced person who is able to manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
You will need an understanding of, and a commitment to working directly with children and young people who have a range of needs emotional, behavioural and communication needs. Experience of working with children in a residential childcare setting and of supervising staff is essential. We are looking for someone who can be creative and flexible whilst maintaining a high level of professional responsibility and accountability. You will need to have managerial and leadership qualities, with a good understanding of team dynamics. Partnership working is key within the role and you must be able to work closely with other agencies and professionals. An understanding of quality assurance and its importance in developing services is also important. This is a challenging post, which requires someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and is able meet the diversity of this role.
